The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is the national Standards Body of India working under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India. It is established by the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 1986 which came into effect on 23 December 1986. The Minister in charge of the Ministry or Department having administrative control of the BIS is the ex-officio President of the BIS.

Minimum Percentage in Graduation :
1. General candidates : 60%
2. OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates : 60%
3. SC/ST candidates : 50%
4. PWD candidates : 50%
Age Limit :
1. General candidates: 30 years
2. OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates : 33 years
3. SC/ST candidates : 35 years
4. PWD General candidates: 40 years
5. PWD OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates : 43 years
6. PWD SC/ST candidates : 45 years
Application Fee :
- General/OBC category : Rs 750/
- No fees is required to be paid by SC/ST/
- Ex-Serviceman/PWD/Women Candidates.
Selection Procedure :
- The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of written examination.
- The final selection will be done after Personal Interviews (PI).
