What is SSC-JEn
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Junior Engineer (JEN) exam is conducted every year to recruit engineering graduates for various government departments. It assesses candidates' technical proficiency in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical engineering disciplines.
Job Responsibilities in SSC JEn
Students recruited via SSC JE Exam contribute to infrastructure development and maintenance in various central government departments. It includes responsibilities like project planning, execution, and supervision of engineering tasks. They ensure compliance with technical specifications, resolve site issues, and collaborate with stakeholders.
In Civil Engineering, tasks may involve construction and maintenance of structures.
In Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, it includes overseeing electrical systems or machinery. Junior Engineers participate in surveys, prepare reports, and assist in project management.
Their role is crucial for the efficient functioning and progress of government projects, enhancing overall public infrastructure.
SSC JE Exam
The exam comprises two papers: Paper-I is objective, testing general engineering knowledge, while Paper-II is also of objective nature according to new exam pattern where 100 questions from respective discipline are asked.
Successful candidates undergo a document verification process before final selection.
