Introduction :

Railway Recruitment Control Board is a government recruitment agency for Group C and Group D non-gazetted civil service and engineering posts in Indian Railways under Ministry of Railways, Government of India. It was set up in 1998 in the Ministry of Railways, New Delhi

 

Vacancy Details :

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has given a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineer, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) vacancies. Qualification :

The candidates holding Diploma / Degree in Mechanical , Electrical , Electronics ,Civil and Allied Engineering , B.Sc.(Chemistry and Physics) and Computer Science and Information Technology from a recognized institution can apply for these post .

 

Age Limit :

Candidates should not be below 18 years and not above 33years of age. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules

Selection Process :

Selection is based on the computer based examination

•           CBT-1

•           CBT-2

•           Document Verification

•           Medical Examination

 

Exam Pattern :

 

1. Computer Based Test -1

There will be a total of 100 questions having four different subjects (Mathematics, General Intelligence, and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science).in which each question will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of ⅓ for every wrong answer given by the candidate. Time allotted for the exam is one hour and 30 minutes Only candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks and score more than the cut off marks will be eligible to attend CBT II of the selection process.

 

2. Computer Based Test -2

There will be a total of 150 questions having four different subjects (General Awareness, Physics, and Chemistry, Basics of Computer Applications, Basics of Environment and Pollution Control, Technical Abilities) in which each question will carry 1 mark. There will be a negative marking of ⅓ for every wrong answer given by the candidate. Time allotted for the exam is two hours. Only candidates who score the minimum qualifying marks and score more than the cut off marks will be eligible to attend CBT II of the selection process.
