How to Apply for UPSSSC JE & TA Posts

Each branch has its own advertisement, and candidates need to settle on Mechanical or Electrical before anything else. The UPSSSC JE online form 2026 opens on 3 November for Mechanical and on 6 November for Electrical. The dates, documents, fee and steps below come from the 12 October 2026 notification on upsssc.gov.in.

UPSSSC JE online form 2026 dates for Mechanical and Electrical

Advertisement No. 24-Exam/2026 covers Mechanical posts, and its form stays open from 3 to 25 November 2026. Electrical posts fall under No. 25-Exam/2026, with a window of 6 to 27 November 2026. Both advertisements were notified on 12 October 2026, and correction deadlines fall in the first week of December.

Documents needed to apply online for UPSSSC JE

The PET-2025 scorecard with its registration details, the High School certificate and the diploma in the relevant branch are required from everyone. Other certificates matter only when a candidate claims a specific benefit. Post-wise qualification rules are set out under the UPSSSC JE eligibility criteria.

Needed by every applicant

• PET-2025 scorecard and registration number, along with the mobile number or email linked to it
• High School certificate, because the date of birth printed on it is the one entered in the form
• Diploma certificate and mark sheets in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Recent photograph and signature, if the form asks for them
• Valid identity proof and payment details

Needed only for specific claims

• Caste certificate for SC, ST or OBC claims, and an EWS certificate whose issue date and validity have been checked
• Disability certificate for PwBD candidates, or an ex-servicemen certificate where it applies
• Uttar Pradesh domicile certificate, which supports reservation benefits
• No Objection Certificate from the employer, for candidates in government service
• Proof of a preferential qualification, for example the Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence listed against the UPSRTC Mechanic post

How to apply for UPSSSC JE online form 2026?

Start at upsssc.gov.in, open the live advertisements section and choose No. 24-Exam/2026 or No. 25-Exam/2026. Login uses the PET-2025 registration details. After that, the form runs through profile check, post selection, qualification entry, fee payment and submission.

Qualification and category entries should be matched against the certificates once more before the final submit button is pressed.

UPSSSC JE application fee is ₹25 for every category

General, OBC, SC and ST candidates pay ₹0 as the UPSSSC JE application fee. A processing fee of ₹25 is charged to each of them, and that amount is the full payment.

The fee is paid online at the declaration stage. Fee reconciliation continues until 2 December for Mechanical and 4 December for Electrical, so the receipt belongs in the same folder as the confirmation printout.

Mechanical and Electrical posts need separate applications

Candidates who qualify for both branches submit two forms, one under each advertisement. Together the two carry 1,536 vacancies: 1,156 in Mechanical and 380 in Electrical.

Mechanical vacancies are largest at Irrigation and Water Resources with 304 Junior Engineer posts, then UPSRTC Mechanic with 270 and PWD with 264. On the Electrical side, PWD leads with 231 Junior Engineer posts.
