UPSSSC JE Online / Offline Test Series
A syllabus can be finished. A 100-question paper in 2 hours has to be practised. The UPSSSC JE test series 2026 from Engineers Academy gives Civil, Electrical and Mechanical candidates practice, online and offline, in four test types. Below are the types, the marks each subject carries and how to read the pattern before the written exam.
UPSSSC JE Online and Offline Test Series 2026: Format and Coverage
Engineers Academy offers the UPSSSC JE online test series and an offline version, both based on the UPSSSC JE exam pattern. Tests are available for Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and cover the technical and non-technical syllabus.
| Detail | UPSSSC JE test series |
| Mode | Online and offline |
| Branches | Civil, Electrical, Mechanical |
| Based on | UPSSSC JE exam pattern |
| Syllabus | Technical and non-technical |
UPSSSC JE Test Series Types: Topic-Wise, Subject-Wise, Full Syllabus and Mock Speed Test
The series has four test types. Topic-wise and subject-wise tests work on parts of the syllabus. Full syllabus tests and the mock speed test work on the paper as a whole.
| Test type | Scope | When to attempt | What to check afterwards |
| Topic-wise | One topic | While studying it | Weak sub-topics |
| Subject-wise | One full subject | After finishing it | Marks lost to wrong answers |
| Full syllabus | Whole paper | Late revision | Time spent on each part |
| Mock speed test | Timed attempt | Near the exam | Pace per question |
A topic-wise test catches a gap while the chapter is fresh. A UPSSSC JE mock test does a different job. It shows where the 120 minutes go.

UPSSSC JE Mock Test Series: Marks, Time and Negative Marking by Part
A UPSSSC JE mock test follows the written paper: 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours and 1/4 negative marking. At an even pace of 1.2 minutes a question, Part 1 gets 78 minutes, Part 2 gets 18 and Part 3 gets 24.
| Part | Subject area | Questions | Marks | Minutes at even pace |
| Part 1 | Technical | 65 | 65 | 78 |
| Part 2 | Computer and Information Technology | 15 | 15 | 18 |
| Part 3 | General Knowledge related to Uttar Pradesh | 20 | 20 | 24 |
Four wrong answers cost one mark. Twenty wrong answers cost five. After each test, count wrong answers apart from skipped ones. The gap shows what guessing is costing.
UPSSSC JE Test Series for Mechanical
The Mechanical technical part has eight subjects worth 65 marks. Theory of Machines and Machine Design alone carries 15, so its subject-wise tests matter most.
| Subject | Marks |
| Theory of Machines and Machine Design | 15 |
| Engineering Mechanics | 10 |
| Strength of Materials | 10 |
| Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulic Machines | 10 |
| Thermodynamics | 5 |
| Internal Combustion (I.C.) Engine | 5 |
| Steam Engineering and Power Plant Engineering | 5 |
| Refrigeration and Air Conditioning | 5 |
UPSSSC JE Test Series for Electrical
The Electrical technical part has 13 topics of 5 questions each. Nothing dominates, so topic-wise tests spread practice evenly from Basic Electrical Engineering to Basic Electronics.
Estimation and Costing carries the same 5 marks as Alternators and Synchronous Machines. A skipped topic costs as much as any other. Marks for every subject and topic are in the UPSSSC JE syllabus 2026, and the UPSSSC JE exam pattern page explains the three-part paper.
UPSSSC JE Mock Tests and PET-2025 Shortlisting: What the Numbers Mean
Shortlisting takes up to 15 times the vacancies, category-wise. That makes the written paper the stage where candidates are separated.
- Mechanical: 1,156 vacancies, so up to 17,340 candidates
- Electrical: 380 vacancies, so up to 5,700 candidates
- Normalization: scores are normalized if the exam is held in more than one shift
- Final selection: written exam merit and post preference
These are ceilings, since the cut is category-wise. Post-wise vacancies are on the UPSSSC JE department-wise post page.
