TNPSC AE Exam: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates having a 4-year regular degree (B.E./B.Tech) in the respective discipline of Engineering with minimum 60% aggregates can apply for the position of Assistant Engineer in Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC).
Also, the age limit of the candidates must be between 18 to 32 years. Although, there are certain age relaxation according to government norms to certain category students.
TNPSC AE Exam: Selection Process
The selection will be on the basis of shortlisting of candidates based on their score in offline written exam followed document verification.
The written Exam will consist of two parts: Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 will consist of 200 questions from respective discipline of 300 marks to be attempted in 3 hours duration.
Part 2 will consist of 100 questions of 2 marks each from topics of General Studies, Mental Ability and Quantitative Aptitude. This paper is to be attempted in 2 hour duration.

Candidates Applying for TNPSC Assistant Engineer Exam need to complete their “One Time registration” with a fee of Rs 150.
Also, at the time of submitting the online application, a one-time Examination Fee of Rs 200 to be paid online.
