SSC JE exam is conducted every year by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE) in Group-B cadre under various central departments and ministries.

Those students who have cleared SSC JE Tier-1 (Prelims) are eligible to give SSC JE Tier-2 (Mains) exam.  Students clearing the Tier-2 will be called for document verification and the students clearing document verification stage will be shortlisted in the merit list.

Exam Pattern:

Earlier the Tier-1 exam used to be objective in nature consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and Tier-2 exam is used to be subjective in nature consisting of theoretical questions whose answer have to written in detail in the space allotted.

But since 2023, the Tier-2 exam pattern of SSC JE has been changed to objective exam consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) from respective discipline.

The difficulty level of technical question to be asked in SSC JE Tier-2 will be comparatively harder than that of SSC JE Tier-1 level. It is expected that questions from in-depth concepts and derivations could possibly be seen in SSC JE Tier-2 of 2023 exam. Therefore, students are advised to study deeply for Tier-2 exam to score well and get selected in SSC JE 2023 merit list.

Tentative Dates:

According to SSC calendar, the SSC JE 2023 Tier-1 Examination is scheduled for first week of October and the SSC JE 2023 Tier-2 examination is scheduled for december 2023.

Online and Offline Courses for SSC JE Mains 2023:

Students preparing for SSC JE 2023 Mains examination should keep in mind that this is the first time that SSC JE Mains or Tier-2 examination will be conducted in objective manner.
