JELET Lateral Entry 2023 Exam Apply Online: Free Online Classes, Exam Pattern, Eligibility and Selection Criteria

JELET stands for Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET). It is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admission to the second year (third semester) of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.), and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharma) courses in various colleges and universities in West Bengal.

JELET Lateral Entry: Eligibility Criteria

(i) Candidates applying for the lateral entry exam of JELET should have cleared three-year diploma in respective branch of engineering from a recognized college of Odisha or from AICTE approved institute or recognized university in India.

(ii) The student needs to have atleast 45% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology.

(iii) Candidates in the final year of their three-year diploma 2022 are also eligible to apply to the lateral entry exam of Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry.

JELET Lateral Entry: Selection Criteria

The JELET will prepare a merit list based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates who secure a rank within the cut off score will be considered for admission.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling where they will have to provide their choice of course and institution. The counselling process usually consists of document verification and seat allocation based on the availability of seats.

JELET Lateral Entry: Exam Pattern

Exam for JELET Lateral entry is conducted offline every year. Total 100 multiple-choice-questions are asked in the examination.

The examination pattern is as follows:

Candidates who submit incomplete or incorrect application forms will be disqualified.
