The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by the Odisha State Government for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the state of Odisha. The exam is conducted annually and is conducted for admission to B.Tech.
Every year, OJEE Lateral entry exam is conducted in the month of May or June for direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech colleges.
OJEE Lateral Entry 2023: Eligibility Criteria
(i). Candidates applying for the lateral entry exam of OJEE should have cleared three-year diploma in respective branch of engineering from a recognized college of Odisha or from AICTE approved institute or recognized university in India.
(ii). The student needs to have atleast 45% marks in appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology.
(iii). Candidates in the final year of their three-year diploma 2022 are also eligible to apply to the lateral entry exam of Odisha Joint Entrance Examination.
OJEE Lateral Entry 2023: Selection Criteria
The OJEE will prepare a merit list based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates who secure a rank within the cut off score will be considered for admission.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling where they will have to provide their choice of course and institution. The counselling process usually consists of document verification and seat allocation based on the availability of seats.

Candidates who submit incomplete or incorrect application forms will be disqualified.
OJEE Lateral Entry 2023: Application Fees
The Application fee for OJEE 2023 is:
(i). For General Category students: Rs 1000 for single course and Rs 500 for every additional course.
(ii). For SC/ST Category Students: Rs 600 for single course and Rs 300 for every additional course.
