West Bengal Public Service Commission (WBPSC) is responsible for the recruitment of Group A, Group B, and Group posts in various state departments.

WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Important Dates
The commencement of the online application started on 16 November 2022. The closing date for form filling is 8 December 2022 although, for any correction, an edit window is available from 14 December 2022 to 20 December 2022.
The Written Examination will be held in the Kolkata center tentatively in the month of April or thereabout followed by the Interview.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Eligibility Criteria
For Junior Engineers, candidates should have a Diploma in the respective Engineering branch from the State Council for Engineering and Technical Education, West Bengal, or its equivalent.
Candidates with equivalent qualifications are required to produce/submit a certificate of equivalence on or before the date of interview from the respective issuing authorities if they are selected for an interview although Equivalence of diploma and/or degree in different disciplines may be decided by the Commission.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Age Limit
The age limit for the WBPSC JE vacancy is 36 Years as of 1 January 2022. The students from the reserved category can have age relaxation as per government norms.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Education Qualification
A diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Civil is an essential qualification.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Application Fee
The application Fee for the post of Junior Engineer in WBPSC is Rs. 160 only. SC/ST candidates of West Bengal and Persons with disabilities (PWD) having physical disability of 40% and above are not required to pay any fee.
BC candidates of West Bengal are, however, required to pay the usual fee as aforesaid.
No exemption of fee is available to SC/ST/BC candidates of other states.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Exam Pattern
The Exam pattern will be 200 marks containing 100 questions of 2 marks each with a negative marking of 0.66 marks for every wrong answer. After clearing the written exam, candidates will be called for a Personal Interview of 100 marks.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
Candidates applying for WBPSC JE have to appear for the Written Objective Examination. Students clearing the first stage of the written exam have to appear for a Personal Interview.
The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained in the Written Examination and the Interview taken together.
WBPSC JE Recruitment 2022: Salary Structure
The pay scale for the post of WBPSC Je will be of Pay Band-4 i.e. Rs.9000-40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.4400/- besides D.A., M.A. & H.R.A., etc. admissible as per rules.
