The government of Rajasthan on 19th July 2000 issued a gazette notification unbundling Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB) into five different companies so that the board will run efficiently.
(i) Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN), the generation Company.
(ii) Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. (RVPN), is the transmission Company.
(iii) Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd., (JVVNL), is a regional distribution company.
(iv) Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (AVVNL) is a regional distribution company.
(v) Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. (JdVVNL) is a regional distribution company.

In 2023, RSEB is about to release a notification for the recruitment of a Junior Engineer in the month of March or April 2023.
RSEB recruits Junior Engineers for carrying out tasks like generating electricity at various state power plants, designing &developing plant structures along with helping in the transmission and distribution of electricity across the state.

Also, the maximum age limit for the post will be 40 Years, although age relaxations will be applicable for various category students according to the government norms.
