Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2023: Job Profile
Engineers recruited via Technical Graduate Courses (TGC) are responsible for various engineering tasks, including bridge construction, and structure demolitions.
They manage the construction and maintenance of infrastructure like roads, bridges, and airfields along with the maintenance and repair of all electrical and mechanical equipment used by the Army, including vehicles and weapons systems.
TGC officers may also undergo helicopter pilot training and serve as Army Aviation pilots. They are responsible for a variety of roles, including reconnaissance, troop transport, and casualty evacuation.

Some of the Officers will be posted in metro cities and they will be responsible for managing the logistics and supply chain for the Army. They ensure the timely and efficient transportation of supplies and equipment. They are also responsible for the procurement, storage, and maintenance of weapons, ammunition, and equipment for the Army.
Officers posted at ordinance factories are responsible for the safe storage, handling, and transportation of ammunition and explosives used by the Army.

Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2023: Salary and Allowances
(1) Upon selection, the candidates will get a stipend of Rs 56,100 per month.
(2) After the completion of 1-year training, the candidate will be entitled to a Rs 15,500 extra stipend as Military Service Pay (MSP).
(3) The candidates selected as Army Aviators (pilots) will be entitled to an extra pay of Rs 25,000 per month.
(4) The candidates selected in para Allce will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 10,500/- per month.
(5) The candidates selected in Para Reserve Allce will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 2,625/- per month.
(6) The candidates selected for Para Jump Instructor Allce will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 10,500/- per month.
(7) The candidates selected in Project Allce will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 3,400/- per month.
(8) The candidates selected in Special Forces Allce will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 25,000/- per month.
(9) The candidates selected in Technical Allce (Tier-I) will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 3,000/- per month.
(10) The candidates selected in Technical Allce (Tier-II) will be entitled to an extra pay of ₹ 4,500/- per month.
(11) The candidates who get to serve high altitude rages will be entitled to an extra pay of Rs 3400 to 25000 per month.
(12) The candidates who get to serve Siachen will be entitled to an extra pay of Rs 42500 per month.
(13) A uniform allowance of Rs 20,000 per year will be given.
(14) A children’s education allowance of Rs 2250 per month per child for the two eldest surviving children.
(15) A hostel subsidy of ₹6,750/- per month per child for the two eldest surviving will be given.

Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should fulfill the following criteria:
(1) Male Candidates only
(2) Should possess an Aadhar Card
(3) Should be unmarried
(4) Should have passed the requisite Engineering Degree course or are in the final year of the Engineering Degree course. (Only those final year students are eligible to apply whose final year/semester exams will be conducted before 1 July 2024).
(5) Minimum Age limit: 20 Years and Maximum limit: 47 Years (as of 1 July 2024)

Indian Army TGC Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The applied students will be shortlisted on the basis of marks secured in graduation. Then the shortlisted students will be called for a 5-day SSB at one of the following centers: Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka), and Kapurthala (Punjab). The SSB will consist of a series of various mental, physical, psychological, and personality-based tests and activities to be taken by Psychologists, Group Testing Officers, and Interviewing Officers.
The recommended candidates from SSB will have to go through a rigorous medical test. After passing the medical tests, the candidates can find their names on the final merit list based on various numbers of vacancies in various disciplines.
