Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB). The exam is conducted for admission into various undergraduate courses in the fields of engineering, pharmacy, agriculture, and medical streams offered by the institutions of Bihar.
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) conducts Exam once a year for Lateral Entry (LE) for 700-800 engineering 2nd year seats in various Bihar State Engineering Colleges.
BCECE LE 2023: Eligibility Criteria
(1). There is no age limit for this exam.
(2). Candidates must have passed Diploma examination with minimum 45% aggregate in relevant engineering branch.

Candidates must have passed B.Sc. with atleast 45% aggregate with Mathematics as a subject in 10+2.
(3). Candidates with B.Sc. stream have to clear Engineering Drawing subject of 1st year along with Engineering mechanics.
BCECE LE 2023: Selection Criteria
The BCECEB will prepare a merit list based on the candidates’ performance in the entrance exam. Candidates who secure a rank within the cut off score will be considered for admission.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling where they will have to provide their choice of course and institution. The counselling process usually consists of document verification and seat allocation based on the availability of seats.
BCECE LE 2023: Exam Pattern
The exam duration is of 150 minutes.
(a). Exam paper will consist of 150 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) consisting of 50 questions from Mathematics, 50 questions from Engineering Mechanics and 50 question from English section.
(b). Each question will carry 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answer.
(c). Total marks will be 600 marks (200 marks for each section)
(d). Minimum 35 marks are needed to qualify the English Section.

BCECE LE 2023: How to Apply
Candidates who wish to apply for BCECE exam can fill the application form online by visiting the official website of BCECEB https://bceceboard.bihar.gov.in/ and submit it along with the required documents and application fee within the specified deadline.
Candidates who submit incomplete or incorrect application forms will be disqualified.
BCECE LE 2023: Application Fees
The Fees for Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) combination candidates is Rs 1000 for General and OBC Candidates and that of SC/ST/DQ candidates is Rs 500 only.
