Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is a state-level agency responsible for conducting civil service examinations and recruitment to various administrative posts in the state of Assam. The Commission was established in 1937 and has its headquarters in Guwahati, Assam.

APSC AE Recruitment 2023: Job Profile
An Assistant Engineer is responsible for overseeing the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of various engineering projects. They work on a wide range of projects, including construction of roads, buildings, bridges, and water supply systems. Their job involves preparing project plans, cost estimates, and overseeing the work of contractors and sub-contractors.
In addition, an Assistant Engineer also carries out inspections of construction sites; reviews design plans and specifications, and ensure that projects comply with safety and environmental regulations. They may also supervise a team of junior engineers and technical staff and provide training to them.

APSC AE Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
For Assistant Engineer, the candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Also, the candidate must be a resident of Assam State to apply for any of the position.

The selection process will be on the basis of written examination conducted by APSC.

Candidates who wish to apply for APSC AE exam can fill the application form online by visiting the official website of APSC https://apsc.nic.in/ and submit it along with the required documents and application fee within the specified deadline.
Candidates who submit incomplete or incorrect application forms will be disqualified.
APSC AE Recruitment 2023: Application Fees
(i) Application fees for General Candidates: Rs 250
(ii) Application fees for SC/ST/OBC/MOBC : Rs 150
(iii) Application fees for PwD/BPL: NIL
The application fee could be paid online and in non-refundable in nature.
