The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is the state-level organization responsible for conducting various competitive examinations and recruiting candidates for various government jobs in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. UKPSC is similar to other state public service commissions in India, and its primary role is to ensure the selection of qualified and capable candidates for various government positions.

Recent Notification No. A-1/JE(DR)/E-4/2023-24 released by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) has invited applications for the recruitment of 1097 Junior Engineers for Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Agricultural disciplines for various state departments of Uttarakhand.

UKPSC J.En 2023 Eligibility

(1)  Students having a 3-year regular Diploma in the respective discipline are eligible to fill out the application forms. However, students who have served in defense departments or NCC will be given more preference.

(2) The minimum age limit for the Rural Work Department, Panchayati Raj Department,  Uttrakhand Water Electricity Nigam Ltd is 18 years, and that of the rest of the departments is 21 Years.

(3)  The maximum age limit of all the departments is 42 years.

(4) The age limit will be calculated as of 1 July 2023.

(5) However, there are age relaxations given to reserved category students as per the government norms.

UKPSC J.En 2023 Selection Process

The selection will be based on a written exam followed by document verification.

UKPSC J.En 2023 Exam Pattern

(1) The written exam will consist of two Papers:  Paper A and Paper B.

(2) The A will consist of two subjects: General Hindi and General English each of which consists of 100 questions to be attempted in 2 hours each.

(3) Paper-B will contain two papers of technical discipline each of which contains 180 questions of 2 marks each to be attempted in 3 hours.

Therefore, the total marks in the written exam will be 920.

Minimum qualifying marks for the written examination are 45 %( For General Category students), 40% (For OBC and EWS Category Students), and 35 %( For SC/ST Category Students).

UKPSC J.En 2023 Exam Centres

Exam Centres for the UKPSC Jen 2023 Exam will be one of the following cities:

Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Haldwani, Khatima, Rudrapur, Pithoragarh,  Dehradoon Gopeshwar, Haridwar, New Tihri, Rudraprayag, Shrinagar and Uttarkashi.

Students need to give their preference while filling out the application form.
