SJVN Apprenticeship Trainee 2023: Notification
A recent notification by SJVN by Advt. No. 116/2023 has announced the recruitment of Graduate and Technician (Diploma) apprentices. A total of 165 Graduate apprentices and 100 Technicians (Diploma) Apprentices.
Students having a B.E./B. Tech and Diploma can apply for Graduate apprentices and Technicians (Diploma) Apprentices respectively.
The apprenticeship will be of one-year duration.

SJVN Apprenticeship Trainee 2023: Eligibility Criteria
(1) Only Himachal Pradesh candidates are eligible to apply.
(2) Candidates who have completed apprentice training with the SJVN are not eligible to apply.
(3) Candidates who have had one year or more of training or job experience after completing their studies are ineligible for apprenticeship training. Even if the gap between the release of results and the start of training is greater than three years, the candidate will be ruled ineligible.
(4) For the Graduate apprentices’ position, students must have a 4-year regular B.E./B. Tech degree in respective discipline with a minimum 60% aggregate from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
(5) For Technician (Diploma) apprentices’ position, students must have a 3-year regular diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline with a minimum 60% aggregate from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India.
The upper age limit for UR Category students is 30 years as of January 7, 2024. According to government regulations, certain categories of students can have their ages relaxed.

SJVN Apprenticeship Trainee 2023: Selection Process
There will be no interviews. The eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a merit list formed based on marks secured in the Matriculation examination (10th), 12th and ITI Course/ Diploma and Bachelor of Engineering/Technology as per the following details:
(1) For Graduate Apprentice, 20% weightage will be given to Class 10th aggregates, 20% to 12th/Diploma and 60% to their degree.
(2) For Technician (Diploma) Apprentice, 30% weightage will be given to Class 10th aggregates and 70% to Diploma.

SJVN Apprenticeship Trainee 2023: Application Fee
Interested students having a domicile in Himachal Pradesh can fill out the application form with Rs 100 as the application fee. However, SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from any application fee.
