Candidates must possess the prescribed educational qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.
The essential qualifications include:
- Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Metallurgy, Ceramics, and Electrical: Bachelor’s Degree in the respective Engineering discipline.
- Computer & Information Technology: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science/IT, MCA, or a two-year PG Diploma in Computer Applications.
- Instrumentation: Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Finance: Graduation with CA/ICWA qualification oran Engineering Degree with MBA (Finance).
- Human Resources: Graduation with a two-year Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, or Social Work.
Candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories must have secured at least 60% marks, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates require 50% marks in the qualifying examination.

NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Selection Process 2026

NMDC Steel Executive Trainee Salary 2026
Selected candidates will initially undergo six months of training, during which they will receive an attractive stipend. Upon successful completion of training, they will be appointed as Assistant Manager in the regular pay scale.
In addition to the basic pay, employees will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), Provident Fund (PF), Performance Related Pay (PRP), Gratuity, medical benefits, leave facilities, and other allowances as per company rules.
