ISRO Scientist Engineer Recruitment 2026 Important Dates
The ISRO Scientist Engineer application form 2026 was released online on 27 August 2026. Candidates must register in time and pay the fee so as not to face technical problems at the last moment.
The final application form submission date and the applicable fee are 16 September 2026. ISRO will be announcing the separate dates of the Written Test/CBT and Interview.
ISRO Scientist Engineer Apply Online 2026

ISRO Scientist Engineer Application Fee 2026
Candidates are required to initially pay a ₹750 processing fee while submitting the application. Of this, ₹250 is considered as the application fee and the balance is returned based on the eligibility and attendance requirements set by ISRO.
Women candidates, SC/ST candidates, PwBD candidates and ex-servicemen are eligible for a full refund of ₹750 after appearing in the Written Test/CBT. The ₹500 amount shall be refunded to other candidates after deduction of the application fee of ₹250 (as applicable), subject to the conditions.
Eligibility criteria to become an ISRO Scientist Engineer

Educational Qualification

ISRO Scientist Engineer Selection Process 2026
The ISRO Scientist Engineer Selection Process has two stages:
Candidates will be required to undergo Written Test/CBT first. Candidates who have qualified for the written test are called for an interview. The Selection depends on both Written Test/CBT and the interview, with 50% weightage for the Written Test/CBT and 50% weightage for the Interview.
The written test is made up of two parts: discipline-specific and aptitude/ability. Part A contains 80 marks and has questions for the candidate’s engineering discipline. Part B is worth 20 marks and assesses skills in numerical, logical, diagrammatic, abstract and deductive reasoning.
The candidates should be aware that Part A has negative marking while Part B doesn’t have any negative marking.
ISRO Scientist Engineer Salary 2026.
The selected candidates will be recruited as Scientist/Engineer (SC) in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix. The minimum basic salary is ₹56,100 per month.
The selected candidates will be offered applicable allowances and benefits as per the ISRO rules along with the basic salary. This may include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, medical facilities, Leave Travel Concession or group insurance, and others.
