Bhilai Steel Plant Apprentice Recruitment 2026 has been released for those who are interested in getting apprenticeship training at Bhilai Steel Plant under the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). There are 710 available trade, technician, and graduate apprentice positions for the training year of 2026–27.

A total of 516 seats are available for candidates who have passed out of ITI in the concerned trade of Trade Apprentice. There are many major trades, such as Electrician, Fitter, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Electronics Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic and several others notified.
Technician & Graduate Apprentice Posts
There are 194 seats in the Diploma and Degree courses. These are: Civil, Electrical, Metallurgy, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Automobile, and any other notified field of Mechanical & Mechatronics.This means Mechanical/Mechatronics, Electrical, Civil, Metallurgy, Computer Science, Electronics & Telecommunication, Automobile, and other notified field.
BSP Apprentice Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility criteria in terms of education and age must be met prior to application. The qualification is dependent on the type of apprenticeship applications the candidate is making.
Trade Apprentices must have passed the ITI course in the concerned trade and Technician Apprentices must have passed the Diploma course in the concerned trade. Apprentices must have the Degree qualification at the end of their time as a graduate. The candidates should be those who have passed their qualifying examination from 2022 to 2026.
The candidate should be between 18 to 28 years as on 31st October 2026. Age relaxation will be applied as per the applicable rules, wherever applicable for the candidates belonging to reserved category.
Applicants who have finished or are presently an apprentice will not be considered. The recruitment does not include candidates who have had one year or more of work experience.

There will be a monthly allowance paid to all selected apprentices, depending on their apprenticeship category. The notified stipends are as follows:
