In 2023, RPSC is about to release a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Engineer Combined Competitive Exam in the month of March or April 2023. RPSC recruits Assistant Engineers for carrying out tasks like designing, developing, and executing projects along with working with the Project Manager in reviewing project specifications and assisting in preparing project plans and designs.

RPSC AEN Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must possess BE/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in the relevant branch of Engineering with a minimum of 60% marks to apply for the post of Assistant Engineer through RPSC.
Also, the maximum age limit for the post will be 40 Years, although age relaxations will be applicable for various category students according to the government norms.

The selection process for the post of Assistant Engineer by RPSC will be based on 3 stages:
- Preliminary state
- Mains Stage
- Personal Interview

The exams are conducted in offline mode i.e. students will get a question paper and they will receive an OMR sheet on which they have to mark the answers of the objective paper of the RPSC AEn Combined Competitive Exam. The prelims paper will be of 400 marks which are to be attempted in 4 hours.

There will be a negative marking of one-third marks for the wrong answer in the paper and hence, students are advised to attempt the questions carefully.
The Preliminary exam is just qualifying in nature i.e. the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination by the candidates who are declared qualified for admission to the Main examination will not be counted for determining their final order of merit.
The Mains paper which will be conventional type will be of 400 marks which are to be attempted in 4 hours.

Candidates who obtain such minimum qualifying marks in the written test of the Main examination as may be fixed by the Commission at their discretion shall be summoned by them for an interview. Provided that no candidate who fails to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in each of the two compulsory papers and a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate shall be called by the Commission for an interview which carries 72 marks.
