The UPPSC invites applications every year from all over India for the post of Assistant Engineer (AE). An Assistant Engineer in UPPSC is responsible for carrying out tasks like designing, developing, and executing projects along with working with the Project Manager in reviewing project specifications and assisting in preparing project plans and designs. The UPPSC AE is also known as Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) who is a gazetted officer. It is estimated that near about 500 vacancies will be announced for the post of Assistant Engineer at UPPCL.
UPPSC AE Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
At the time of application, the candidate must have possessed Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in the respective branch from a recognized University/ Deemed University.
Also, Candidate must have passed their higher education in the Hindi language. In case, candidates have not cleared the same, then they need to appear in an additional exam commenced by the Registrar, Department Examination Government of UP, within 3 years of joining.
The minimum age limit for the vacancy is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 40 Years as of the form-filling deadline. However, there are age relaxations on various category students as per the government norms.
UPPSC AE Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The selection for the UPPSC AE will be on the basis of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) followed by a personal interview and then comes the stage of document verification.
Written Exams for AE UPPSC will be conducted simultaneously in various cities of Uttar Pradesh. The candidate, who will complete and submit the form, shall be provisionally allowed to appear in the exam.

For every incorrect answer, there will be a negative marking of 1 mark for every incorrect answer.
The question paper pattern will be objective in nature i.e. the questions asked will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Students clearing the written exam will be called for a personal interview. It will be 100 marks.
